Purpose

We aim to overcome the weakness of graphene photonics (responsivity, absorption, etc) by understanding the sources of dark current and photo carrier generation of graphene hybrid devices. Based on the most advanced understanding of the device physics and photonics, we also explore many new graphene/semiconductor hybrid electronic devices and sensors.

Research content

• Development of a low dark current photodetector toward Lidar application
• Development of a infrared photodetector using graphene with low bandgap semiconductor
• Study on photocurrent generation mechanism using scanning photocurrent mapping
